The Smokefree DC Steering Committee is an all-volunteer group that put in many, many hours over the past 3 years. Along with dozens of volunteers, Smokefree DC distributed over 30,000 stickers at dozens of community events (pretty much, if we thought an elected official was going to be there, we showed up ahead of time, so that many people would be wearing "I'd Love A Smokefree DC" stickers while talking with the councilmembers. It was a great strategy, but a lot of work).
If you'd like to leave a comment to the steering committee and volunteers, here's the place to put it (since we don't get paid for doing this, we appreciate kind words!)
We wanted to have a public place for people to post comments -- their smokefree stories, violations, or just a thank you to the steering committee.
